Gray is the new Black
Gray is apparently the latest trend in Japan fashion nowadays. Black and white used to be the base colors but now, things are looking more towards the gray areas. With the trend tuning in on gray, the list of feminine fashion must haves include knits, skirts, dresses with cinched waists and flared hemlines, and traditional pleated skirts.
Between the boldness of black and the purity of white lies gray, a mixture of the two. Trend-watchers believe that the current focus on innocent, refined gray is a backlash against the long-reigning casual look, defined by layered fashions and jeans. This reaction has consumers reaching for neat, refined items with a conservative mood and formal items like uniforms and suits.
Time to stock up on the grays, ladies and men, stock up on the grays too :)
