Gothic and Lolita Special
You know, I have always connote gothic to romanticized vampirism – i find the chiseled and not overly pale goths to be so hot. But of course, this video is about Goths and lolitas and while some of them paint their face really white, I thought they looked pretty good. You’ll Mana from the music project Moi Dix.Mois, formerly guitarist of Malice Mizer, appearing in the middle of the video all decked up in gothic make up. He does look like a girl though, a very pretty and mysterious female goth..:P Why doesn’t he talk? Apparently the comments for this video say Mana rarely opens his mouth to talk at all.
Maybe it ruins his feminine image if he does?
P.S. Excuse the Lion and detergent commercial at the beginning. :P I did enjoy those two minutes of commercial though.

I have only heard one snippet of video where Mana speaks saying basically Mana and guitar. He says very masculine which is why he usually whispers to the lead vocalist what he wants to say. (This is just my experience viewing the videos.)

kaxx: Oooh…so he has a masculine voice! Well, i guessed right then…it is highly possible he wants to preserve his androgyny by not speaking.
gothic devil: welcome! :) Yea, Mana is a he, although sometimes ppl who has never seen him before might think he’s a she! Hehe, I love goth stuff and eyeliners are my weakness. I think boys in eyeliners are quite hot…lol! but that’s just me ;P

Mana chooses not to speak because he believes that his art speaks for him – his clothing, his music, all that he does.
It really has nothing to do with the pitch of his voice.
Mana is very beautiful and so is his gothic lolita clothing line – I have much respect for him for making it so far as a lolita crossdresser.
