A very apt video about Fashion in Japan. More people need to be aware of the unique fashion culture in Japan instead of bashing it like some previously did.

These videos are 8 years old, yet they are still very relevant. Check out the Counter Culture episode about tokyo for something a lot more up to date and focussed on current trends. It does help that Counter Culture is hosted and created by Tyler Brule (founder of Wallpaper and Monocle).

BTW… sorry couldn’t take it for more than the 30 first seconds… BBC is really going down the gutter these days, the high school level of quality of the intro about the jushi kosei smells so good the program with a short deadline and nobody with a clue about the subject. I might even start to believe that by english standards Jeremy Clarkson actually IS a journalist.
Ok, maybe they say that this kind of dumpster pouring on a body is fashion… LIKE YOU (omfg!!!!!). You want the point… you got it… happy ?

Well, I may not like the fashion but it’s still fashion :) I thought the video was insightful and maybe you should just bear with it for more than 30 secs instead of just sounding your bells.

No, usually I have a good instinct on the quality of the reports after hearing the intro (you know basic rules… stuff like announcing the plan for the discussion on the topic) . And with an intro filled with so much condescending generalisation I have no hope for what might come next. I had to suffer through enough uninspired high school essay to avoid them now… even if they are on TV…
