Proof that 80’s back

The world is going 360 on me. First we saw fashion brought back from the 20’s with lacy dresses in drab colors of beige, yellowed cloth and gold. Then we saw the 70’s came back with bell-bottoms and big hair wigs. And now, we are experiencing the 80’s with really striking, albeit clashing, colors, shoulder pads, big hair, blue eyeshadow, and that awful carrot cut jeans to which they called it skinny jeans. The skinny about that jeans is that it’s ugly.

You may not share the same sentiments as I do but fashion these days have been awful. Nothing on the racks of daily-wear names like Zara, TopShop, MNG, or even …I can’t name names anymore…clothes these days are just awful. :( Those sack like tops and non-figure-flattering dresses are driving me insane. I maybe a child of the 80’s but i was not impress with what I wore as a child, let me tell you that!

Any quirk and criticism, love and adoration about the current fashion, let’s hear it from you!

And here’s proof that the 80’s back, a remake of kylie minogue’s “I should be so lucky” is selling like hotcakes in the Japanese charts.

Wait, the girl have a “cat with a tail stuck in a door” voice, the guy have a girl voice and the music sound like 97% of 100yens shop background track.

    It’s a parody ?… or… not !?

THANK YOU for saying it. The 80’s were fashion’s worst decade. I thought skinny jeans were a fad that would quickly pass (everyone looks fat in skinny jeans), but to my horror they have become something of a standard among young people. Even worse is the rising popularity of acid wash. Don’t people realize that their current fashion “statements” are the product of uncreative and uninspired corporations recycling ideas that were best left in the dustbin?

Don’t even get me started on skinny belts, high wasted tapered jeans, leggings and GASP shoulder pads. Has everyone lost their mirror or have I been transported back in time? What’s next? Are people going to start hairspraying their bangs into high waves and get mullet haircuts?

Here we are, not only in a new millennium, but in a high tech creative world unlike any other in Earth’s history. Can’t we get some new and creative fashion ideas to fit our era? Is that too much to ask?

    *crawls back into bitter hole*
